Anyone else have a loose review mirror? I've read that if the adhesive loses its effectiveness Porsche will want to replace the entire windshield at my expense of course.
I'm hoping there is a simple fix for this and would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Mine actually fell off and was dangling by the wires. Porsche replaced entire windshield and mirror under CPO coverage at the time.

Yeah, there's a TSB (technical service bulletin) about the failing adhesive. The repair is to replace the whole windshield. VW/Audi had those problems too, back then. It's the mirror's base, what the mirror clips onto. I got mine replaced under warranty (991.2).
If you're out of warranty, you could take it to a window glass shop and they could take a crack at it (no pun intended). Haha

Auto parts stores sell a repair kit for this for just a few dollars. There's a special cleaning solution for the glass and then a special adhesive, probably similar to SuperGlue.
It's certainly worth a try if the car is out of warranty.
