29500 +/- 10K on Previous owner - rest on me - no track (O the shame) but lots of heavy braking (mostly to silence the squealy brakes)

I can't wait to change my brakes .... there's going to be nothing left.

I'm currently at 126,000 on original pads and rotors. Many highway miles.

One track day and many many many .... many TN, NC, GA mountain drives including a handful of Dragon drives.

Thanks for sharing your diy experience! Did you reuse the anti rattle spring clips or use new ones?

first, great work and thank you for posting. I'm due for front brake(s) soon-ish...

second, I know you briefly mentioned you wish you had bought the girodiscs vs OEM...truly just for weight savings? or do you think performance vs OEM is that much better to justify price?

One thing I'd like to point out: ZERO squeal. OMG that is so nice after a year of squealing ! ;-)
Not sure if that is because the discs/pads are new or the grease job worked well.. Time will tell but I know how to go back in and reapply grease now..

Girodiscs ? Actually I was looking at AP racing J- hook ones but similar concept yes... Why? Simply because I also own an older low power classic and I have experimented with reducing unsprung weight with it and the performance improvements are incredibly noticeable in all respects (acceleration, cornering, etc). So I am always eager to reduce unsprung weight on any car I have whenever possible if affordable. Those 2 piece discs cost a bit more but overall they save as much per corner as a lightweight wheel change, for a lot less $. And they are cheaper to replace the second time (you only buy the outer piece). I chickened out this time because it mentioned spacers required etc... I will not next time - spacer is a non issue now that I understand how this goes together.
