Carrera T vs 4GTS….
How do people like or compare a T compared to the 4GTS. I know more power but also wondering mostly the 4 wheel drive and how that makes the driving experience feel different? I don’t live in an area where all wheel drive is really needed but I have seen a few specs that are really nice but in the 4GTS model.

Both 991.2? Still pretty different.
Still not sure which will be more collectible in the future, lots of T’s made but also, the nice thing about the GTS is the RWD wide body, with the 4 all of them are wide.

Both very appealing, but in different ways. One, purer and simply fantastic if you don't need AWD. The other, crushingly capable and arguably the first Carrera in which the 959's full promise is finally delivered alongside more power and more driving fun than a 959 Komfort.
Hard to go wrong here, and I'd rather have a 4 GTS in a spec I want than a T in a spec I don't.

I would not buy an all wheel drive car unless I intended to use it for that purpose. Would prefer a GTS over a 4GTS. To each their own. Good problem to have.👍

Let me phrase it a little differently. I have owned a T and loved it. I appreciate all the purist aspects, door pulls, lightweight glass etc. My T had 18 way seats to maintain the backseats and no RAS.
If I moved to a 4GTS, what would I miss? It’s still a manual, has more
power than the T, RAS (I know some argue they would rathe not have it on a T but I think most like it on a GTS), cosmetically would look better and more aggressive with the red brakes, wider rear etc. Can’t imagine it would be that much quieter with the extra sound deadening insulation? Center locks I’ve heard can be a pita?

4GTS!! I have a 18 manual with all the goodies and absolutely love it with some mods. The car is still loud inside, CLs can be PITA but def manageable and with numeric short shifter and cables the car is magic.

They’re as different as two Carreras can be. One is a scalpel, the other a chainsaw. The answer is in how you intend to use it.
What might you miss moving to a 4GTS? Rear wheel drive dynamics, quicker spooling turbos, steering feel, people asking, “what’s a Carrera T?” at Cars & Coffee.

I'm biased because I prefer AWD, but the next P-Car I buy will be a 7MT Targa 4GTS or 7MT Coupe 4GTS. I understand the purist approach with the T, but I still want creature comforts, real door handles, comfortable seats, etc. And that lightbar thing is so cool looking!
