TFT display doesn’t work when it’s hot
Hello. 2 different times the TFT display (the lcd screen in the gauge cluster) is blank if the car sat it the sun for a few hours. It came on once the car started to cool off - approx 10-15 mins.
Any idea what could cause this?

Heat, maybe?
Okay, ****posting aside, it's either the screen itself, the connector to the screen, or the unit driving the screen. In the event of the latter, I believe that's entirely driven by the PCM (the headunit in the center stack).
10-15 minutes isn't really all that long for the screen itself to cool off just from the cabin temp lowering, since it doesn't exactly have active cooling. The PCM on the other hand might have active cooling -- been a while since I've pulled mine out -- so perhaps just the video output driver for the cluster is just on its way out?

Dealer said the battery is at 60% so the heat in GA is reducing it's power and causing this. They quoted a new battery and programming at $1,000 so I'll just park in the shade.

$1000 for a new battery and programming? I know the Porsche tax, but come on guys!

Dealer sounds like they're full of ****.
Also a battery is $200 and about ten minutes to replace, and doesn't need any BMS reprogramming if it's the same size.
Avoid that dealer.
Also, which dealer is that so the rest of us can avoid them too?

Regardless, if the car's CPO or under any sort of warranty I'd push to get it resolved through that. If it doesn't happen that often I'd just wait until it fails outright and fix the broken part. I really think it's the PCM itself instead of the dash screen, as it's actively cooled and thus would match your symptoms of coming back to life.

Program.. hmm. Might be that they'd replace the PCM, and not the dash screen itself? I believe the dash screen is just a dumb display, not a module.

I’ve always wondered about this programming. Is it battery resistance such that the auto charger regulates for gas mileage?

Oh, my bad, the $500 is to install and program the battery, not the PCM/dash display? That's still robbery.
With regards to programming, the BMS in the car simply needs to be told the capacity of the battery. It likely changes the charging curves and what it considers charged enough for the purposes of AS/S. Then again, people put in four-figure dollar lithium batteries with microscopic capacities and don't reprogram the BMS for their shiny 40ah battery and claim it works perfectly, so who really knows.
