Default Dash cam: Fitcamx

I searched Rennlist and the inter webs and I couldn’t find much Porsche reference for this. Anyone have any real world experience or insight into this setup? I like it that it looks stock (and people generally won’t know it’s there) and it potentially taps off the power that’s already available.

Here is an Amazon link with one review and some additional pictures, wonder what rearview mirrors this will work with - 911's are not mentioned in the description

Have anyone installed Fitcamx? Trying to install Fitcamx today and wondering how to pull the plug (see attached circled in blue)? Also, any idea what is the red rope for? Thanks

I’m taking a wild speculating guess, but maybe it’s a safety cord for retention in case of adhesive failure or something.

Are you installing the following camera (Model C requiring fuse box wiring) ?
Amazon Amazon

Can you please post pictures and share install experience? Seems like a great idea and a clean look.

I have the FITCAMX on my 2021 cayenne and works well. Wife connection is confusing because Apple car play also uses wifi to connect to phone. So have to manually connect to proper wifi to see video clips using phone. But I don’t feel the need to look at it. Just want have the footage if needed. Install was easy except the step the put the camera in. Same for my wife’s Audi. Doesn’t align easily and will need to keep trying. Will be getting another one for 992.
