Could it be that some people are getting too addicted to personalized info feeds? I wonder what could go wrong if people get only material that agrees with their personal biases.

Ya as hard as it may be sometimes, you really just can't take things people say to heart. But, to avoid the "you're an idiot" comments, any time I start a thread (very very rarely), I Google it to make sure it hasn't been discussed previously. Some of these guys have been on here for ages and have seen it all.
I know this is a topic that has come up before. Maybe not with its own dedicated thread, but it has definitely been discussed and shot down by most each time.

But it was worth another try, right? 😊

I do get sick of reading how .2 cars aren’t real 911s just because of the sound and that they’re turbo charged. Just like when I had my 718 Boxster I excitedly got back onto this site only to hear my car being bashed because of it’s engine and sound it makes. It’s interesting how when this wonderful car company we’re all fans of continuously makes these cars more powerful from often smaller and lighter engines and chassis, yet we’ll turn our noses up and bitch about the sound or how they shift. These all encompassing forums become filled with limited posts about the segregated for whatever reason cars. I want to read about my version, not sift through dozens of threads about the version I don’t have. Bring on some more segregation.

In have no issue with that since I have to click on a folder anyways. So I am clicking on the next one, big deal.

What I do have an issue with is reading non-technical fluff in a "Porsche Techical Discussion Area". We have a General Porsche Discussions Forum folder for that.

Bringing this thread back to the front because there's just barely any 991.2 content. It's all, .1 steering wheel in a .2, .1 tunes, .1 exhausts, .2 wheels on a .1, why .1s are the last real 911s because they're NA, etc. IOW it's a .1 fest or how to make your .1 more like a .2. They are different cars. Even the PDKs are different. I wanna read about how to tune my .2, best tires for a .2, how to make my .2 NOT like a .1 (lol), or possibly along those lines how to make my .2 more like a 992! Rant over.

As much as I like to see more .2 centric info, I think it’s better to not split up the forum. If you want more info pertaining to a specific topic, just start a new topic on it and I’m sure people will contribute.
