Default Stealership Indy Rec Tampa

Any Indy can use fidelity. Can someone recommend a good indy for this guy in tampa.

The dealership is paying for its fancy waiting room and coffee with your fee.

Had PPI done at Vortex Motorsport. Excellent service and honest. Highly recommend.

I got a killer indy in Spring hill. Next time I need to get stuff fixed I'll run by him. I didn't know fidelity will take indy's as well.
Ant idea what does he need to go through w/ them to get stuff going ?

Does anyone here have experience with paying a diagnostic fee or does Fidelity pay that ?
Also, the service advisor didn't know if the warranty covers a rental in case of down time. The rental is $45 a day and they don't know if they can get the car fixed within the next few days. I got a shuttle lift back home, but curious if this is also covered by the warranty.

Thanks!!
Yeah, I used to go to Reeves. . . but this past 18 months has been a disaster with their service, in my opinion. Service management has changed at least three times in past 24 months. . .

OK update to the thread. Just got the call, the bill is for a low-tone horn and a window switch: $1113 and change. My cost ? $100 deductible.

I dont have the bill in front of me to tell you. When I get it I'll upload it here.
I can't say I'm surprised with over $1k, it's a Porsche after all. Parts are about $300, if I didn't have the warranty I would buy the parts and go to my indy.

if you're only paying the $100 deduct, it doesn't matter how much it cost or how much the dealer makes. it would be the same $100 at an Indy. good for you!

i don't have a warranty on my 991.1 C2S. recently needed my blower motor resister replaced and my P dealer came in at over $2k including a new blower motor. after i pointed out the blower motor was fine and only the resister needed replacing...they came back at almost $1200. this for a part that is $200 at full retail and easily found online discounted closer to $150. fairly easy install that shoulda taken no more then an hour or so. then i got a quote from a local Indy that was $300. so $1200 vs $300 ?? jeeeze!

i paid the $199 diagnostic/inspection fee (for not ok'ing the work there) and took my business elsewhere/to the Indy and still came out $700 ahead. if i had a warranty with a $100 deduct, i probably would have let the dealer do the work. am only 1 year into P car ownership and learned a very valuable lesson that many around here preach about regularly (and they're 100% correct). many/most P car dealers are a rip off....period. if you have a warranty or money to burn, i guess it doesn't matter. i have neither and it matters. not a DIY kinda guy so it's 100% Indy going forward

glad it worked out for you and best of luck with the repair

Cheers
Lev
