Brake bleeder boot seeping
I did a brake fluid flush today. Used Motive system. All went ok. I ended taking off the bleeder screw rubber boots since I opened a few up too much and brake fluid leaked a bit. I hand put the boots on and it looked like there was seeping under the boot. Took the little boots and torqued to 10.5# per SA at dealer. Let it sit for a while. All was dry. Put the boots back on and the was some seeping. I guess the bleed screw has some residual brake fluid in it. Does it get pushed out somehow when the rubber boot gets put back on? Could make sense. Puzzling nonetheless. Thoughts?
Yes, residual brake fluid creep is normal and exacerbated by the reinstallation of the bleeder cap which pushes the fluid trapped in the bleeder nipple out into the caliper threads.
It usually takes multiple cleanings and even a little squirt of brake cleaner into the bleeder and threads if you are brave enough to spray that in the vicinity of painted calipers.

Seems like it is the weeping from the residual fluid in the nipple. I used a shop vac across the top of the bleeder and seem to have sorted this out. A vacuum bleeder system that attaches to the bleeder would likely be a cleaner and quicker system. Will keep an eye on this.
