Default Sport mode without the pops and crackles?

Is there a way to have sport mode without the exhaust pops and crackles? What I’d like is the features of Sport without the dumb snap crackle and pop noise, I find it so juvenile. I can do sport + but want the increased nannies of sport. Possible?

bb964 is, or course, correct. You can subdue the pops and crackles by turning off PSE, but you cannot eliminate them. I was driving the other day with Sport on and PSE off and got a HUGE pop on deceleration. Very disappointing. The perfect "voice" for our cars might be both Sport and PSE on, but without the pops and crackles.

God bless,
TT

I believe Scott from Softronic can 'tune out' the 'pops and bangs' upon deceleration. I think he mentioned here on the forum in one of his responses. Of course you need to purchase his tune.............

I have contacted Softronic to find out if they can tune out the pops and bangs without changing anything else. Will let you know the response.

God bless,

In a 991.2, I don't think Sport+ decreases the nannies. (You need to manually enable PSM Sport if you want to do that too.)

In a 991.1, Sport+ does also change PSM limits.

The throttle response is different being in Sport or Sport+, so I could see wanting a mode based on the feel of that.

Porsche has already thought of this and created individual mode. Just set individual to sport and you’re golden - there are no pops and crackles in individual.

Not to sound stupid, but what is ‘individual’ mode? I’m running a 991.1 and don’t quite understand. Enlighten me please
Thx

With a 991.2 and sport chrono/PSE you get a little extra wheel with a button on the steering wheel where you can select the driving modes including an individual option which you can set up however you like and you will not have the crackles and pops on decel in that mode.

That makes sense but only for the 991.2
Thx

Difficult to know whether the thread is about 991.1 or 991.2, the referenced thread in the link posted a little bit further up was about 991.2.

I guess you're out of luck with a 991.1

You can select Normal or Sport Plus as part of Individual mode, but Backfires is not a distinct option.

so if Sport + doesn’t decrease the nannies, what’s the point? Only throttle response? I thought the nannies came on later thus more over steer allowed, wheel spin, etc....
