Is anyone running pure turbos on there 991.2 Base, S, or GTS? And if so what tune are you using? Undecided on GTS turbos or Pure going to use them with 93 pump. Thanks

Have you considered the Tial m660s? Pure is nice but not many people running compared to the m660s...I think they are around the same price but I think the Pure may have slightly larger wheels?

Also considered the tials, what tune are people running with those. Or do you have to get a full custom tune?

Many are doing a Cobb protune. I know apr has it on their car but I don’t think the file is available to the public. Apr has also tuned a 991.2 with Pure turbos but I think it was a one off/development setup.

Yeah that’s what my thoughts were no one has a tune available to public for either of those. That’s why mainly I was leaning towards gts turbos.

Until there is a OTS tune available for Pure or TiAL, the best option is an APR GTS kit.

I got the GTS turbos on my Carrera S. Installation was smooth, and the power difference between stock S and tuned S with GTS turbos is, shall we say, large. There’s more turbo lag than with the S turbos, but the rush of power from 4200 or so RPM is huge.

Thanks enzocat for the reply. I just have a c4 with tune, headers, cat, bmc filter. It runs strong just figured I would change turbos next. You have the apr stage 3 tune with those turbos?

Yes indeed. Had them installed in March. Just did my 1st track day with them earlier this week. On the straight I was hitting mid 130mph (max was 138mph) where prior to the tune I was lucky to see 115mph. A friend in a GT2RS hit 148mph, but that thing has almost 160hp more than my car even with the tune.

i have tial turbos. protune is the better than OTS always but Cobb isn't the best type of tuning platform out there.

I'm happy with my tune at the moment. gears 1-3 are always spinning

Pure turbos are well respected. Ive seen many positive reviews for BMWs, I dont see why it would be any different for this platform.
