Default What size tires for 20x9 FI-R?

Ordered a set of FI-R's but the fronts are 20x9 not 8.5. How stretched will the 245/35/20 be? Is there a better size option?

my 991 came stock with 20” sport technos, 20x9 front and 11.5 rear. 245/305 tires. comes oem like this depending on wheel option, not really stretched at all. you can run 255 if you like, theres plenty of room. i have bbs wheels also right now, bbs offsets are always very very conservative. if you want it flush you’re going to have to run 12-15mm spacer in front.

245 tires wont be a stretch on 9" wide wheels. the tire brand will be the main factor in how round/square the tire shoulder looks.

You probably can find the acceptable rim width and other specs for tires on the manufacturer's websites or Tire Rack's. I believe the stock front Pirelli and Michelin tires in 245/35/20 will fit a rim 8" to 9.5"

Tirerack has recommended rim size under specs, for the tire your buying.
I use 255/35 fr and 315/30 r on 20's RS Spyder wheels. Perfect fit.

I have 245/35/20 and 305/30/20 on my stock wheels, but when I switched to the Brixton wheels the rears were 12" wide and they told me to step it up to a 315/30/20 in the rear, but they still looked stretched. Because of that I went up to a 255/35/20 in the front so the overall diameter ratios stayed the same front to rear as stock.
Now, I have sent the Brixton back(long story) and ordered the FI-R's. Hoping to go back to the stock sizes and it seems I can.

The PS4S seem to look more round compared to the square looking pirellis

Depends on the tire. The N1 MPSC2 245/305 look beefy on 9/11.5

Stock GTS is 20 x 9 fr 245/35/20. But I now run 265/35/20 Goodyear eagle F1 Supersport RS. But i needed to change castor. I have E-Motion adjustable control arms.

rear is 20 x 12 stock. 305/30/20 is stock. But looks slightly stretched. I have run 325/30/20 no worries at all.
