Default Ignition on clunk

My 2017 991.2 C2S makes a clunk noise when I turn the ignition switch one notch clockwise, but before I actually start the engine. Some days it is louder than others. Does anyone know what is making the clunk noise, and is it something to be concerned about?

I get all sorts of buzzing and whirring in my '17 4S when I turn on the ignition but not the car.

Just did it now in my garage and the only sound I'd describe as a clunk was the HVAC mixing flap/recirc flap/something adjusting, but that sounds like a servo motor reaching the end of its throw and continuing to try to adjust further, if you know that sound. Not a 'clunk' per se. Worth noting that my HVAC is set to be on when I start the car.

Where's the clunk coming from?
