Possible to re-noise insulate 991.2 Carrera GTS?
Hi
My stage 2 GTS is quite loud from the inside. The GTS has noise insulation parts stripped as opposed to a normal Carrera. Is it possible to reinsulate the noise insulation part into the car? Has anyone ever done this?
Cheers

Yes... a few people have done it (myself including) on a 991 GT3. This is only one of the threads: GT3 DIY sound insulation - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums
It's fairly easy... just time consuming. Took me about 4-5hrs, but I did the doors as well.

I got some Noico to do just this. But haven't gotten around to it and I've grown accustomed to the 'loudness'

Just do a google search, there are so many videos and posts out there.
Door panels are easy too, 4 plastic panels that pop out and then 4 screws... then the door panel just lifts up.

Honestly, they all just pop out. I just used my trim removal tool to get under... The only thing that has a screw is the rear middle panel (on my GT3) since we don't have rear seats.

Correct me if I am wrong. Does the insulation tape only go to the rear seat/storage area and the doors? Did you remove the seat prior to installing the tapes?
How about the footwell? Under the seats? How thick did you do?

I bought the ones from Amazon... they are referenced in one of the posts. I did a 2 part, like a few members in that thread i posted. I had to unbolt my seat and move it forward in order to get in the back. My GT3 has a roll cage so it's harder. I did, pretty much, everything from the back, where your seats would go, to the rear trunk area. Didn't do anything under the seats or in the drivers area as the engine/exhaust noise is in the back area. The doors helped with some of the wind noise and it made the stereo sound much better, in all honesty.
