Default Gts turbos

Has anyone found a place to buy just the gts turbos for 991.2 for better price that factory. I contacted apr since they are best deal I have found but I asked them for price on turbos without tune. They’ve never contacted me back. I only see it as a package deal. I want to use my own tune. Any help would be good. Also what intercoolers would be recommended from first hand experience? I’ve seen a lot of threads but not much real world first hand experience. Unless it’s from a company. Or should I stay stock? The car doesn’t get tracked. Thanks

I think the APR package is still cheaper than buying the turbos alone from Suncoast or any other online Porsche parts dealer. You don’t have to install their specific tune just because you purchased the turbos from them. Also, APR shows “some” benefit from using the TiAL intercoolers, but I believe they stated that they are not required, nor are they beneficial in all circumstances. I had a brand new set but actually sold them after communicating with the APR guys. Not saying they don’t help at all, just not as much as most people think in all driving circumstances.

I think it's generally accepted that aftermarket intercoolers are good for more power for a single pull. Due to their extra thermal mass. But on a road course where it's constant heat cycles, it's not clear that aftermarket ICs provide much benefit. Part of the limitation is external airflow going through the ICs.

The APR K04.3 GTS turbos are the OEM BorgWarner turbos. Even if you don’t use their tune, the $6k for the turbos is still - relatively speaking - a bargain compared to anywhere else.

I’m probably going to up grade my GTS turbos with the Tial M660 shortly. Just wondering what you expect to pay for GTS turbo’s?

Curious as to why - simply more HP, or do you want a different type of power delivery than what can be done with the GTS turbos? Btw: what tune are you running on the GTS?

More power of course. I race some very high powered cars. Tuned GT2-RS, 720S, Pista’s and some challenge cars. We even have a 765LT arriving in our group soon.

I don’t want to give up gains through the corners to have some silly powered Ferrari pass me on the straight.

i have E42.5 Custom COBB tune. I ran multiple 10.8 at drag strip. But its not about drag times. I run time attack.

There are some highly modded M3 amd M4 and Supras all with up graded turbo’s that are now causing me headaches.

So i need bigger turbo’s. : )

As already stated, APR’s price is by far the best deal going on these parts. Retail for the pair from the dealer is approximately double.

Appreciate the responses. Yeah I assumed that APR was best deal which is a solid price. Just thought I would check and see options. Thanks for replies. Trying to add little larger turbos to the C4. Tune already really woke it up with few other mods.
