991C2S Engine Compartment Access Disfunction
Seeking help to open engine lid. Neither key or switch by the seat will release
the engine compartment. Click heard, but lid does not release. Emergency
release access through right taillight does not help. Anyone heard of this -
really can't drive car until this can be solved. Thanks for any ideas.

There seem to be several ways to approach this issue. In my case finding access was difficult but solution was fabricating
a part to insure the cable was secure in its location. I did not see exactly what this new part looks like as I was not
at the indy when they did the work. Overall it took over $400. Ouch, but option was to go to a distant dealer, probably
two round trips...plus whatever their work might not be covered by warranty.
