most popular colors - a breakdown...
Here is a new 2019 still for sale at a dealer near Boston - why?? I like the red and would buy it over the common colors..

With Guards Red the overall favorite in most all categories, I have yet to see another one in Northern NV or NorCal in over a year of ownership and driving in both states. Doesn’t that seem strange? I’ve never even seen one at any of the CA dealers I have visited.

Here is Sapphire Blue Metallic beating Miami Blue for the championship:

I think its funny that green is such a popular color, yet from my knowledge they barely offer green as a regular color.
Also a youngish (35) owner driving a Boomer Black 911 lol.

And Guards Red is so rare I've been calling it the new PTS for years now. It's really something to see a 993, 996, 997, or 991 in Guards Red—and the later you go, the rarer it gets.Porsche's tournament looks far more representative to me. Blues have long been super popular, with multiple choices even within Porsche's limited choices, but the "non-colors" have long reigned supreme: Silvers, grays, black, and white. Some models offer two of each, and I'm constantly amazed by the service lot in back of my local Porsche dealer: ~98% (to 100%…) of the cars are one of those four "colors." Which more or less matches to many parking lots and freeways these days.
OP, interesting post, thanks. I do wonder about what exactly was asked, tough to evaluate the data otherwise. Like most polls probably not spelled out clearly.
Was it a general question of what color you like to see on a Porsche? Or which color would you actually own and pay for?
Two very different questions, and looking at the results versus what is on dealer lots, both new and used (black, silver/gray, white and all shades between) I would think people are answering the former question.
(I have a GT silver 99.2 GTS and a Guards Red 718 base, so I got it covered either way!)

And for what it's worth, I, too, have been a member of the Agate Grey club. Its a great color - I had this in 2015.
