Default Emission Module Campaign - Good or Bad

Emission module campaign, good or bad? Does it require the computer to be reprogrammed or de-tuned after installation

Has there been an official service bulletin issued or is just more speculation.

If this is referencing the Stop Sale, we surely do not need another thread.

If this is something else, please educate me!

I brought the car in for annual service and the advisor told me of two campaigns one being the heat shield the other the module, just curious if others have had this done and what all is involved?

I had both of these recalls taken care of in the fall... No issues, they replaced the heat shield (and did my drive belt while they had the bumper off for the recall and didnt charge me for the labor)... the module that you are referring to is not related to the stop sale... nothing changed with the performance of the car from these two recalls...

**if you havent done a major service yet or recently, I would chat with your service advisor to see if they will do some of the maintenance for you at the same time since the recall requires them to remove the rear bumper and get in behind the engine for the heat shield anyways... might be a good chance to save some money on the labor like I did
