Unhappy Leak near passenger side wheel well

Was at a car control class with my 991.2 GTS yesterday and my instructor noticed liquid coming out of near front right passenger wheel well. According to people who saw it (there’s a vid linked below), there was a “stream” of water. It also only occurred when I was turning counter clockwise. Temps were fine and I didn’t notice any issues during the drive up to the car control class. Also, when we inspected the liquid, it wasn’t oily and didn’t have any distinctive smell. It also didn’t leak when the car was standing still. One notable thing is that I bottomed out my car the night before and it was distinct enough to worry me, although I didn’t notice any issue or leaks that night. Although, I assume that event may be what caused this issue.

After we noticed the leak, I stopped driving the car and had it towed to the nearest Porsche dealership to be safe.

Anyway, I got a call from the dealer today and they said they did not find any leaks or issues with the car. I asked them to check again to be safe. I don’t want to pick up the car and have to get it towed back again.

Here’s a video of the leak itself:

Here’s a video someone was lucky enough to capture where you can see the liquid coming out of my car:

Anybody have any idea what this could be? Has anybody experienced this before?

Isn't that the drainage hose that lets out accumulated water? Did it rain that day or the night before?

That's the drain hose for the A/C system. Every air conditioner produces condensation from the cooling of your car. Depending on the humidity during the day it can be more some days than others. Completely normal and not a concern.

Can't really see what's going on in those videos. But that sure sounds like your a/c condensation drain.

also, the drain plugs for the car (back and front) and sunroof (or conv top) also drain down at the wheel wells. If people only noticed on turns, and no distinctive texture or smell to it, then it's probably just water as others are saying from AC or rain/water collection

That looked to be a significant amount of water that came out all at once, more than I've ever seen come out of the a/c condensation tube in such a short time. Tube seems small to allow that much of a flow.

That's also a lot of water to come out of sunroof drainage all at once as well.

That volume of water was in the car somewhere, it would concern me. There have been issues with water getting into the 911 foot wells and causing havoc with the electronics.

As someone else asked, had it rained or had you washed the car recently?

The cornering forces as you made your turn had an impact on that liquid coming out, was that the first hard left turn you had taken during the event?

You don't mention it, but, can it be assumed that no more water was observed being released from the car after the initial occurrence?

It's puzzling to me.

You might have knocked a clog loose and now your AC drain tube is flowing freely.

Most likely the "leak" was just AC condensate that accumulated in a corner of the system or behind a small clog in the drain hose. My first new car was a 1978 VW Scirroco. Sometime during its first July, I began to hear what sounded like water sloshing around inside the dash when I turned corners. I couldn't figure out what was causing it until one day when I accelerated and saw water pour out of AC vents and run down the dash. Turns out that the condense drain hose was plugged and condensation had been backing up all summer. There must have been more than a gallon of it in the system. Easily fixed -- never happened again.

Yeah that’s what concerns me as well. There was no more water leaking/pouring out after the initial occurrence.

The service rep recently called and said all fluids were at good levels and they can’t reproduce the issue. They also tried driving in circles as well.

I did wash the car maybe a week ago but it’s strange that water could be staying around for that long.

Service rep thinks this may be the case as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
