No....gave up for now, didn’t want to damage the cap!
There was no reason to remove it, I just wanted to be proactive and verify coolant level at the start of another driving season.
No evidence of a leak, or water pump issue thankfully.
If I do loosen it to remove it, and check level, I will post here.
Thanks again for all the advice, and the pics of the three “mechanics” with their 4 foot wrench!

Have you taken the car out for a drive yet? Just wondering if the car and coolant is heated up from a long drive, if that will help make removal easier.

Yes, several drives, both oil and water temp up to spec.
I did hit 105mph in a quick sprint, may need to go faster!

Just an FYI, manual recommends not opening coolant bottle cap until temp is below 140F.

I'd hit the cap with a heat gun. I think the expansion/reduction in size with temp is a minor factor with plastic parts that have a relatively low tolerance. If you can get the cap hot and pliable, that should help, I would think. I definitely wouldn't want to open it when the coolant is hot.
