Default Wrap: Fake Miami Blue, Slime Green, or Tendies?

Hey guys,

I have 991.2 Carrera S, and instead of swapping it for a GT3 I think I’m just going to pimp it out a little bit. Sharkwerks muffler bypass is on the way, so the next step in its transformation is the wrap.

Car is currently graphite blue metallic. Very buttoned down.

These are the colors I’m considering:

Miami Blue

I love this color. It looks like the color of choice for someone who operates a parasitic, arbitrage based business with offices in south florida, and occasionally enjoys cocaine. Also it’s an original Porsche color, so it may be the cheapest in the sense that it adds some value to the car for a future buyer who doesn’t want their car to look obviously customized. And Porsche discontinued it so it’s “rare”.

Pros:
Ignorant vibe
OEM color (resale)

Cons:
Slightly girly / flamboyant

Electric Slime Green

According to Rae Sremmurd, the optimal color for doing donuts. It’s as loud as Miami blue, but a bit more masculine IMO.

Pros
Very Loud
High visibility at night
Plausibly OEM unless they know their 911s
Masculine

Cons
Not OEM color
Custom but it’s a flat color, missed opportunity

Finally, I could have my computer friend generate a wrap texture based on a sample of fried chicken tender photos, leading us to my final option:

Tendie Burnt Orange

Imagine this was a continuous high resolution texture, giving the car a “crispy” appearance.

Pros
Original Herbs and Spices
Unique
Represents “tendies”, a gen z term for investment gains

Cons
There will probably be a moment when I realize I’ve been driving a car that looks like fried chicken for an entire year
Picking up dates and explaining why the car appears fried

Which would you choose?

there is no added resale value for a wrap. do whatever you like best right now. 99.9% chance that it is removed for resale - the buyer pool that wants to buy a wrapped car is very very limited.

I was with you till you said something about "instead of swapping it for a GT3".. 991.2 and GT3 are as much polar opposites as 991 cars can be so I guess you just need an upgrade/change and not the visceral experience of the GT3 N/A engine and handling

that said, I vote for number 2.. I am leaning towards that myself. Something close to or similar to Lizard green

Love option 2. I can't tell if you're serious about the tendie wrap, but I like your sense of humor!

Option 1: Miami blue == baby blue (pretty low T)
Option 2: Better than option 1, but gives off mad boomer muscle car vibes
Option 3: Pure Patrician taste

Are you paying with crypto?

I agree with the last miami blue is to other chromosomy and #2 why not just buy a dodge charger and do burn outs all day. How about 24K like the garish special edition turbo and an unnamed game show host toilet.

I always prefer OEM paint. But if you're going to wrap, I'd go with the green.

I personally love graphite blue. That said I had a Miami GT3 and it's a nice color. Even nicer than it first appears. Not to further confuse, but that 992 3 is quite a machine. I'd grab one of those if at all possible. It can't be much longer for an NA engine like that to be offered.

I had a Miami Blue Targa GTS up until a week or so ago and loved it, still do actually, and if you wrap it in that color it will look original. I used wrap that is a perfect match to the color for some customizing: https://amdistributions.com/product/gloss-miami-blue/

You can get samples from them for $1 each (4"x8") so you can browse their colors and if you see some you like contact Gabrielle (Gabrielle@amprimaclasse.com ) and tell her Bob Z. referred you and she'll take of you.
