front open method

Yeah, normally I just put my knuckle near the bumper at that location and it pops right open. I only flail against the bumper when people are watching -- it really completes the image of a younger guy with torn up pants (not the trendy kind) driving a 911, I feel.

Yeah, gotcha, and I put new batteries into my fob a few times when I was having the issues with "key not found". It was only until I added the three little shims in the battery compartment to hold the battery more firmly against the contacts that my issue went away.
Hah! This is 100% true!

Had keyless entry on my 991.1 Turbo S and it was hit or miss when you really needed it but, when you aimed the high water preasure on the hood (or just thinking of it) it opened without blinking. Decided to never have it again, as I don’t like leaving a key in the car for any reason when not in it myself (maybe too old school).
I did notice that it openend whe I moved my hand below the hood on the bumper and from the left side - well at least most of the time.

If you are washing or detailing, you have to leave the keys inside or somewhere outside the car, and not on you.
Mine works 100% of the time when I want. The hand sensor is in the top of the front bumper, just left of center.
