My car is still at a dealership in Texas (going on the truck tomorrow) so I ended up having them just do it. $189 + the emblem. You would think that Porsche dealerships would have standardized labor pricing, i guess not. I figured i was going to pay the local detail shop at least $65-$100 to wing it without a template - at that point its likely worth the extra $100 to make sure it is done perfectly.

Does the dealership have the template to properly place the lettering?
I have the letters already and was going to attempt this myself (I was going to try to make my own template out of either paper or cardboard.

It seems some people just debadge the 2nd line and then replace the top line with whatever color badge you bought. I think this would be doable without a real template. Throw some tape around each letter before you remove it, then you just put the new letter inside the box and im betting it will line up pretty well. I think the trick would be moving it down and not having the entire line slightly angled wrong. Im sure its doable with enough thought though.
Im very glad i had the dealership do it after i realized the factory centers the PORSCHE when the 911 Carrera 4S is deleted.

And you have to double check what they did to your car. In my case, the local dealer mistakenly replaced the right front side marker from a 992 model. It looks funky.
