Hey John. Yes SF Bay. The one who did it was called Let There Be Light Mobile Headlight Restoration. They are mobile and very professional. They have a website and is also on yelp.

Thankfully I found this guy who was very familiar with Porsche headlights and took him 4 hours to do.Still trying to decide if I should ppf it since there is no more clear coat to crack anyway or if the ceramic coat is enough to protect the lights from yellowing later. Can a ppf be done diy?

Can you tell me who did this? In the bay area? I'm in Alameda and have a 991, and need the lights to be redone.

If an Xpel dealer tries to get a pattern to use their film on 991 headlights they are warned NOT to by Xpel. I don't know if that applies to every film, but I suggest doing your research first.

I ended up getting mine refinished by a local detailer who offered lifetime warranty against fogged up lights. He charged a bit more for mine but came out amazing.

I bought my car CPO in February. In short order the headlights looked really rough. Pics below. Originally the dealership claimed the issue was cosmetic and not covered under CPO. I played a little more sternly, insisting they submit a claim request and stating that the visibility was impacted. Sure enough, it was approved under CPO and both headlights replaced.

That said, I personally did the wet sanding and polishing on the headlights of a previous 911 that had similar pitting, cracks and scratches. Came out great but was PITA - lot's of effort involved.
