Default Are there Ferodo Front pads for 991.2

So I'm trying to confirm this info but I have not gotten anything back from Ferodo. It appears that Ferodo does not offer a front pad for the 991.2? Has anyone found DS2500 pads for the fronts? It seems strange that I'd have to mix pads. I've searched just about every supplier I can think of and nothing shows up when you specify 2018 991.2 GTS

I have their DS2500 pads on my 991.2 GTS. Went with them for better track wear but keep them on for the street too. The people at Essex can certainly help you ordering a set.

(edited: I just dug up my order info, and confirmed I do have them on my car)

I think I can help! You have a few options for Ferodo pads actually.

Front: FCP4644
Front: FCP4955
Rear: FCP4713

I have most of my cars on DS1.11's front and rear and the faster cars on DS3.12 Front and DS1.11 Rear. Feel free to shoot me a PM and I can help you select the right ones for your car.

Any chance you have the part number for the fronts? I spoke with essex and was told Ferodo does not have a current pad for the front.

I will try to find that out for you. I purchased from my local shop that I take my car to (Speedsport Tuning in Danbury, CT) and that's who sourced the pads for me. I have the boxes in my garage still as my OEM pads still had life on them, so I'll either grab the part number from the boxes or ask the people at SST. All that said, Ferodo definitely has a current pad that fits on a 991.2 GTS.

Stuck on calls all afternoon, but will visit my garage as soon as I'm able and take a look.

Here are the part numbers I originally received from Essex btw. My invoice from SST doesn't have the specific part numbers, but I do recall they didn't precisely match what Essex provided, so take the below with a grain of salt.

Front Ferodo DS2500 Brake Pads= FCP4664H
Rear Ferodo DS2500 Brake Pads= FCP4713H

Will still look at the actual boxes later today.

Here you go. I’m not sure which p/n is front vs rear, but this is what went on my car. They put a replacement set on my car this past season too, but I’m not sure if the p/n’s changed between summer of ‘19 (when these boxes are from) and last summer.

Didn’t think to look until after posting, but these are the same as the part numbers above that I got from Essex. No idea why I though SST had sourced something different.

As a side note, these pads are fantastic. They can be a little noisy on the street, but for a dual purpose pad, they are ideal for what I wanted. They held up very well for ~ 10 track days and ~ 5k miles before I replaced them last summer. The rears needed replacing before the fronts (I drive with PSM enabled and the nannies eat the rears first) but I replaced all four at the same time rather than needing to revisit after one more track day.

Proper bed in is definitely required to keep the noise down on public roads. I haven’t noticed appreciably more brake dust than OEM pads, but I am also not very uptight about the car’s cleanliness, so probably not the best judge there.

I bought Ferodo DS3.12 Pads for my 991.2 GTS. FCP4664G Front and FCP4713G Rear.

Basically the short story is that the 991.2 GTS can run 991.2 GT3 Front Pads, but on the Rear you need 991.2 GTS specific sized pads.

Nearly all the Ferodo pads in the US come through Essex. I have seen them come from FCP and a number of other online retailers and they are shipped from the same place.

Front: FCP4664 - Heavy Track Use - 991 GT3
Front: FCP4955 - Street and Track - 991.1 Fitment
Rear: FCP4713 - 991 & 991.2

The caliper can use either fronts pad part number but the additional swept area on the 4664's means that you must check your rotor first.

W = DS1.11
H = DS2500
G = DS3.12
Z = DSUNO

Thank you! I do try and help where I can, with lots of misinformation out there, which has cost me over the years, I hope to help others not make the same mistakes.

Hi, I'm considering a set of DS2500 what do we need to look for regarding this: "additional swept area on the 4664's means that you must check your rotor first."? For a 991.2 S/4S

If you have OEM , Sebro's and AP rotors the GT3 pads will work just fine!
