Default Dream your dream

As some of you may know, I have been a big fan (still am) of the C8. Eventually however, due to some unique circumstances, I followed my dreams to the 911.

My buddy completed his journey with his C8. We got together to heap praise on each other, and our cars, which is exactly what happened. This pic documents our discussion. I’m next to the C8. It’s a beautiful car, they both are, and I have no regrets. Autocross starts next week...

Two beautiful cars! Love those seats on the C8. Growing to like the C8s looks more with each day. Looking forward to hearing updates from the autocross experiences with those 2.

Beautiful pair right there, and I'm sure you both had a blast chasing each other through a country road! Congrats to you both!

Both are very nice! I have owned Corvettes for 45 years and still have the C7 that I ordered in 2016. Not selling it but I will order a C8 vert when the hype settles, maybe fall. My C2S cab is a completely different car and something that I never thought I would own....I enjoy both.

I got to send the afternoon cruising with a good friend who picked up his C8 at the factory which he said was one of the highlights of his life! He has been a corvette guy his whole adult life, and also has a 1967 corvette convertible! Everywhere we went we were the center of attention! Most people asked about the C8 then moved over to my car to compare! It was a fun afternoon!

C8 is too blingy for me, Porsche so much more refined

The C8 is really something. I had to convince my wife that it wasn't a McLaren when we saw one recently. They really nailed the visuals.

I guess, in my reckoning, a 911 has an appeal like Audrey Hepburn, or George Clooney, or maybe Julia Roberts - timeless, classy, refined. The C8 might be like Amy Winehouse or Lady Gaga, or maybe Chris Hemsworth - perhaps no less talented but more brash and of the moment.

From there it's just preference.

I appreciate the C8 for what it is, but I was overall disappointed with how it looked when it was unveiled. I still love the C7 and consider looking for a manual Z06 or Carbon 65 every once in a while.

I do love hearing from people who have experience with the C8's though. I have a feeling with time, it will grow on me. Maybe if they change the Camaro rear end and do something a little different with the row of buttons inside?
