Default 991.1 gts cabrio lowering springs

Thinking of installing Eibach Pro springs on my 991.1 GTS cabrio. Any advise/suggestions? Thanks.

I have had mine for years. Love them. Make sure they are installed in the same orientation and rear perches are lowered or it won't look right. I also recommend getting a DSC controller first if you're chasing performance; jump to springs if it's purely aesthetics. I see this is your first post so do a search and there is a LOT of info on this. Progressive springs are fantastic - yes, coilovers are better and progressive springs (even teacart - made by eibach) are garbage for the track but even for aggressive mountain driving I love them. My 991 is incredibly comfortable with the eibachs but.... by other cars are an SUV and a very stiff 987 so my saying "comfortable" is completely subjective. My opinion is about the summation of responses you'll get here with some outliers but it's been discussed a few times.

Thank you, Garfunkle. My 991.1 GTS is quite special, black, 7-sp, with red stitching everywhere, just 15k miles in 5 years, quite a beautiful car... I think it has PASM, I never understood what SPASM, perhaps you can illuminate me. I would hate to do something wrong. I had the Eibach Pro springs on my 997.1 S cabrio and they were just perfect. Tank you again. Paolo

I love them for a street car! Spasm is pasm minus 10mm. Are you trying to lower it or give it more performance? IMO Eibach with DSC is the best street combo - but everyone has different tolernaces and what they like.

I never track my car (a cabriolet) but like to drive fast. I understand that the 991.1 GTS cabrio is 10 mm higher than the 991.1 GTS coupe' (which is 20 mm lower than standard). To answer your question, I am trying to lower my car for better look and get a little sharper cornering. Changing just the springs to Eibach Pro did it very well for my last 2011 997.2 S cabrio. I would like to make sure I can do the same for my 991.1 GTS cabrio: changing the springs and nothing more. Your advice will be much appreciated.

They're progressive and work very well for even pretty intense street driving. If you want a sharper handling then do the DSC controller. if you want it to look better/lower then Eibach. I wanted both Another thing to note is that Eibach has the most conservative drop on the 991 of any mainstream spring so it will be the closest fit for the factory shocks in terms of travel and compression.
