Default 991.1 Fuel Gauge Reads No Fuel

Hello. I recently purchased a 991.1 with 34K miles. On delivery, and after the first fill up, the gas gauge worked fine. After I filled the tank the second time, the fuel gauge did not move at all. Also, the remaining miles available (range) did not change at all. I drove 40 miles and filled up again but there was no change. I disconnected the battery for 40 minutes hoping that may reset things, and then reconnected. There was no change. At this point, I have driven about 90 miles since the last fill up. The gas gauge reads completely empty and remaining miles (range) reads zero. Do you have any advice on how I can try to remedy this? Do you think the fuel sender unit needs replacement, and if so, is that reasonably easy to do on a 991.1. Thank you in advance for any advice, input or tips.

Yikes-sounds like the sender is stuck somehow...no warranty/CPO I am guessing? I wonder if you drive around for a bit more and fill up if it will "unstick" it?

Not a CPO. I'm going to drive on it a bit more and hope the Porsche gods show some mercy on me, and it fixes itself. Thanks for responding.

you may have a mileage blocker on the car.

this thread is from 2021 and the OP hasn't logged in since 2022. I'm not optimistic that there will be a followup..
