Yes, the bottle is flexible. One clarification, the valve/tool are in a small separate bag, I just attached with a rubber band and still fits in the 991.1 holder. It is interesting that the design changed from the .1 to the .2.

Just a clarification: my 2016 GTS is a 991.1. I think wide body cars like the GTS and the C4 use this type of holder, which may not accommodate the taller 700 ml replacement bottle.

Got it, that makes more sense. Thanks for the clarification.

For many of you cheap bastards, one of the main reasons for replacing that OEM tire sealant on a regular basis is the risk of the product self activating in the bottle and creating a huge mess in your 'frunk' area. Do some searches on line and you will see what I mean. It is really touch to clean up from such a happening!!!

I'm pretty sure the point of this thread is to replace our expired bottles, I would call buying the same product with a different label for 1/3 the price intelligent vs cheap, however, I'll pony up my money if you can find me a non-aged 600ml bottle of tire sealant even OEM. My issue is really centralized around the issue that the 600ml bottles that fit in my 991.2 appear to be discontinued OEM brand or Manufacture option, not looking for a bottle with 8 months left on it, when a new bottle should last about 4 years.

I picked up my tire sealant replacement (OEM) from SunCoast. $89.95.

Is there reason to believe that the new bottle with Terra-S branding is more likely to activate in the frunk v the OEM branded version?

Can you please advice on the "self activation" phenomenon, seems like my (otherwise exceptional) search skills failed me this time..

Ill have to call but highly suspect that the only available option is the 700ml now, even Suncoast says "Current version shown, but these are updated often. This current version comes in VW AG packaging, a Porsche part but updated labeling.". The 700ml will not work with 991.2's holder, from everything else I can find the 600ml version has been discontinued.

@smgkc - It appears based on the photo posted above by @991.1 That the 700ml does fit. Even though his screen name suggests 991.1, that compartment looks the same as mine (991.2).

Also, my original OEM sealant that was included in the vehicle was labeled VW AG so it seems Porsche hasn’t been using a Porsche branded sealant since at least as far back as 2017.

In my C4 991.2 my holder is the same as Southbranch’s. It currently has an expired 600ml can in it and I’m pretty sure a 700ml wouldn’t fit as there is no extra room. If I had the holder as 991.1 I would have ordered the 700ml and called it a day.

I googled the model number and had only like one hit in stock which is making me feel more assured of my it’s discontinued theory.

Ideas? As I had suspected the 600ml was discontinued but our 991.2 adaptors will not fit the 700ml.

I would think the 450ml will fit:

I spoke with a dealer today and they confirmed this is the new part number and went back and phsycially put their hands on a unit and it was 600ml, im thinking that this is now only being produced for VW/Porsche in the 600ml size and the OEM brand is 700ml. Below is a link to it.
