Are you sure about those sizes? The Sunset Parts web page you linked says that it does not fit my 2016 GTS (which has the 600 ml size now, VW part no. 4L0 012 619 B), so perhaps this part is the 700 ml size.

Its even tripped me up that some websites say 700ml in the notes under this part number, but I had my local dealer (Porsche of Kansas City) look it up for my specific car they gave me this part number (9A7-012-619-02), then I specifically mentioned the 600ml vs 700ml question and they went an pulled the part with me on the phone and verified its 600ml. The only thing I cant comment on is that I expect at the dealer them to have current product and not old stock. If it makes any difference I had an email out a couple days ago that came back after speaking with the local dealer from Sunset Porsche saying the same part number as well after I was clear in outlining the 600ml vs 700ml issue.

Huh. With the expiration date and 600 ml vs. 700 ml questions, it's buyer beware, I think. Some parts sellers websites say that the 700 ml version fits my 2016 GTS while other sites say it does not. (I don't think it will fit the frunk holder.) Some sellers show the 700 ml version in connection with the VW part number or have a note pointing out that the version being offered is 700 ml. My guess is that the 600 ml version is no longer being made and existing stocks of it are expired or about to expire. I hope somebody proves me wrong though and finds a fresh supply. My bottle's expiration date was 09/2019 so I would like to replace it.

If it were me i would call and verify the 600ml version and the expiration date... though i still suspect that dealers have aged product and that its discontinued as some dealers have the same part number with a 700ml note... I might suggest this instead: https://shop.tesla.com/product/tire-repair-kit I know its tesla but my wife has one in her Tesla and it seems like a nice product and the company that makes it for them does many many high-end OEM vehicle tire sealants (rolls royce and more) and they claim to not ruin the tire pressure sensors, I looked them up and their pricing is usually around $160 but Tesla sells around $80, plus replacements for $25

I checked with my dealer's parts guy yesterday. They found one of the OEM 600 ml bottles still in stock, listed under the newer Porsche part number, but it has less than 3 years of its 5.5 year shelf life remaining and costs $113. I told him I would look for a fresher bottle.

I'd ask for a pro-rated discount.

I considered offering him $60, but he works for a dealership that doesn't deal. Instead, for about $15 I bought a big can of Fix a Flat (2-year shelf life) that both seals and inflates. And unlike the Porsche sealant, it claims to be TPM sensor safe. Of course, it won't fit in the frunk's little holder thingy. To be fair, I've never had to use a sealant on a car tire, so I don't have an opinion on which sealant is better. However, I have used Slime to seal multiple Russian Olive thorn punctures on a John Deere 420 lawn tractor's low pressure balloon tires and it worked very well. It was a lot easier than patching inner tubes and one application lasted for years.

Just got this one from Suncoast. It’s the same 600ml that was original. Fits perfect into my holder as shown in post 27 above. Expiration date on it is 06/2024.
