I agree with the above comment that the tire sealant is a last ditch effort. If the flat is caused by a nail or screw that’s not in the sidewall, I would be trying the plug kit I mention below first.

This is precisely why I set out to find an OEM-like replacement. Or at least one that fits in the OEM location. My hunch is that being that they’re both made in Germany, they are the same product.

I recently discovered this fancy over-engineered plug kit and it’s awesome. I actually had to use it within 2 days of receiving it and it works perfectly. The entire kit fits into a small steel tube just slightly larger than a Bic lighter. It fits nicely into the little OEM tool holder/compartment in the frunk where the tire lug key and other tools are stored.

I also just picked this OEM Porsche jack on eBay. Also extremely compact at about 12” x 3”. Fits nicely into my new hidden compartment in the frunk.

Date was just expired by a couple of months - surprisingly the dealer actually replaced as part of maintenance plan service 4 yrs ago...
I was going to order this one you show here but I was concerned that it might be too big since the OEM one is 600ml and this one is 700ml. Did it fit ok? @991.1 : Could you please post a pic of the 700ml container in the OEM location of the frunk?

I am also curious if the larger 700ml size will fit..

Here are BMW and VW branded ones without the Porsche tax:

BMW $41 750ml

VW $42 450ml

My tire sealant was thrown away short after I got the car. The plug kit below works extremely well. Used it many times on many of my cars. It similar to above mentioned, but it using rubber mushrooms instead. Works much better to seal the hole. It's much easier with the wheel off the car, but it can be used on the road I guess too

Just checked my 2016 and the sealant expired 10/2019. Can't imagine ever actually using this stuff, but I guess I will replace it to be safe.

Sorry, I missed this until the new post today. I actually haven’t replaced it in the frunk location yet...I’ll do that this weekend and let everyone know if it fits as the oem part number / size.

I just bought the DynaPlug. Very impressed with their demo videos and will get a jack.

Did it come with the crank handle to actually raise and lower the jack?

Yes. EBay has bunches of these sets. Some in better condition than others. Mine appears to have never been used. Suncoast sells the same thing for twice as much as what they’re selling for on eBay.

Hi All,

Please see pictures of the comparison between the two. I was able to fit the 700ml container and stow it. It isn’t exactly same as the Porsche / VW version. The valve / etc are not shrink wrapped and a bit different design, but it fits and I’m OK with it (likely won’t be used anyway)....hope this helps.

It doesn't look like that 700 ml version will fit in my car. I have a 2016 GTS and the frunk holder thingy is not like yours:

@991.1 Thank you for posting this as I was contemplating the 700ml bottle as well. Looks like it fits. Is that bottle a soft squeezable bottle like the OEM? Or is it a hard plastic bottle?

I have a 991.2 C4 and this is the same bracket I have. I cannot find where Porsche or the manufacture make a 600ml version anymore, anyone else had any luck finding a 600ml?

Ive been searching for the 600ml variant and German eBay does have them here https://www.ebay.de/itm/Reifendichtm...-/113439292078 however if you add it to the cart and try to switch back to us ebay it automatically corrects it to the 700ml version and the seller of the correct version will not ship to US. This is the product that is needed for the 991.2 adaptor. https://www.saxon-brands.com/product/terra-s/1052900, however after looking through multiple sites that are out of stock, I suspect the 600ml has been discontinued, This place does have (https://www.biketeile-service.de/en/...llflasche.html) it but I would be skeptical as they seem to be about the only ones and I would worry about expiring stock.
