I am so tired of black (coal bin) interiors. Thankfully, my daily driver which is a 2021 BMW 330xi came equipped with a leather cognac interior. Black contrasted stitching was not extra. Truly brightens the interior and I love the color. Much more depth than Luxor Beige, and I believe the leather option was only about $1,500. They haven't really picked up all of Porsche's tricks yet.

We have a 2015 GTS that we ordered with an Espresso / Cognac interior. Cognac is a beautiful color that will go exceptionally well with Oak Green Metallic and is in my opinion not very orange IRL.

Attached photos of our car in different light conditions for reference

Can definitely also recommend to personalize the tread plates

Over time I have added more leather + contrast stitching trim from Exclusice Option that do an amazing job. I think my favorites are the leather wrapped key, the IP side panels and the interior lighting console. This is a keeper so not worrying about sinking too much into it

I’m also attaching a couple of photos of our Boxster S that we ordered through Porsche Exckusive for reference. We started by an full black leather interior and deviated a bunch of surfaces in Sand Beige.

This was not considered LTS by Porsche at the time and wasn’t terribly expensive. I think our total for this one off interior was around $3500 on top of the blsck leather interior. Unfortunately we sold that car and deeply regret it to this day.

Have even tried to track it down but the guy unfortunately didn’t want to sell.

As for how you deviate, you can either deviate the doors similar to the Speedster - or you can do it the way we did it plus add contrast stitching. With the 992 you will have to play around and see what works best.

Enjoy this experience. It’s cerainly worth the wait.

I too think the lack of interior options on the leather in porsche is terrible . I have LTS ascot now and paid 5600 in 2017. I am specing out a targe GTS but having a tough time picking leather I like. LTS not available now. Any ideas folks ?

Out of these two photos, would you say it leans more to the top or bottom photo IRL?

I'd say closer to the bottom, but not quite as orangey. It is beautiful in person. Atm75s pics up thread are most accurate

On the factory Stuttgart tour during European delivery, we went through the leather department and there were many non standard leathers there. You can say the same about limited exterior colors. If you want something special, Porsche will do it. Just have to ask and pay a bit.

Jack thanks for your scoop but I have asked special projects and right now they will not do LTS. I really want ascot or something special for my gts targa.

That should be nice. Do you get the impression that LTS will continue to be offered but just with limited windows? Are you able to at least have discussions about the color and get samples so you are ready to commit when LTS is opened up?

Jack I have talked to them a lot and there are no plans for LTS to be offered anytime soon. Year at least. No plans in the works.

Could be worth waiting if you have the right dealer that has good connections. It can really make a difference when wanting something special.

There is black contrast stitching in this photo?

You know, you are absolutely correct. I never looked at it that closely. It is a weird color stitching that can look pretty dark in some light at some angles. Look at the arm rest, looks black. Point is, BMW didn't charge me extra for it, but not as bespoke as Porsche's deviated stitching option. And the cognac does brighten the interior.

Its really interesting seeing colours other than black being employed inside the vehicle - it can really change the driver experience.

I never thought I'd have these colours of leather inside a car until I got this one - its an interesting colour to keep clean. This is Pebble Grey / Agate Grey.

I have this same interior in my '15 S cab. It's my daily and I have two children under 9. I keep a bottle of leather cleaner and a good rag in my glovebox.
