Default My first Porsche....and it's a good one

Welcoming myself into the crowd. I've been a Porsche fan most of my life. My big drive was from "Need for Speed High Stakes", when the 993 Turbo was big. Posters on the wall, only having RUFs in the Gran Turismos, to eventually becoming a tech and Porsche's being one of the manufactures I dealt with, etc...

Fast forward to my life now, I realized I could get my hands on a newer one. Ofcourse a base 911 wasn't going to happen. If I'm spending the money why go low. So, in 2018 I started my search, 991.1 4S or GTS. Test drove a few here and there, fell in love.

Stop sale happened, unsure of the market, .2s were on my radar now.

I introduce to you the cheapest CPO .2 4GTS manual I've seen and still see. I took delivery of it a few weeks ago up in Illinois. Let's just say it was 20k cheaper than the next closest 4GTS.

Why was it so cheap? It's Lava orange, manual, full leather (alcantara delete), heated/cooled 14w seats, PDLS, red dials/seatbelts, other bits and options, and one owner....but 53k miles. Very very clean car, very impressed on how well the car was taken care of. Full service records, clean carfax, and it's CPO. Had it PPI'd and it was in "great shape".

I live on the east coast, I was on a work trip in Colorado, and the car was near Chicago. I did the deal, pretty much, over the phone. I came back home, flew to Illinois, and drove the car for the first time when I left the dealer. I couldn't be any happier with this being my first Porsche. The entire experice was perfect.

How was my 800 mile drive in sub freezing temps with Ice/snow on new summer tires? Flawless. Car did amazing. Glad to be here and excited to dive into the Porsche culture.

Wow! Beautiful and quite the find.

Congrats. Where or how did you find it? Didn't see that one around online.

Thank you all!

I first saw it on Cars.com .
It was put up for sale back in late October but it was not CPO at the time. Beginning of December it went CPO. I knew that because it showed up on the Porsche CPO website. Sat there for a month, I called to jump on it and got it.

Welcome! It's gorgeous! Wishing you many safe & happy (s)miles with it!
My brother did a cross-country trip when he picked his 996 up a few years ago (CA back to MA). I'm still bummed I didn't get to join him on that run.

Congrats!!
car was actually on my radar for a couple days and I almost considered buying it - I'm super happy with the C4S but the extra power and more importantly the manual transmission are appealing.

Enjoy it, seems like a great car!!
