Default I made a secret hidden compartment in my frunk

Ok, So I was a little bored and I wanted to make a secret hidden compartment in my frunk to keep my less frequently accessed items out of the way. Clearly I had a little too much time on my hands, have work to do on my DIY skills, and also clearly I’m not a YouTube or video production pro.

Nice work-looks like the material used to cover it is a very close match!

@Tier1Terrier that looks great. I had one done to hide and protect my sound system amplifier in my 1999 Boxster. I don't have the talent you do so the system installer fabricated it. You can sort of see it in the picture of the amp location below leaning on the right - great photo quality from 1999 don't you think?

That area has been used by stereo installers for years to hide amplifiers and similar top covers fabricated to cover the amps and provide a false bottom for groceries and luggage. Simple but, nicely done and serves its purpose well.

Great idea. Great execution.

How many inches above the frunk floor is the new shelving - I assume not more than about 3 inches?

This is very cool! I want one! @Tier1Terrier would you be willing to share the measurements for the board, pre-carpeting? A pattern would be even more awesome so I could cut one out? Thanks!!
