For some reason the previous owner removed the factory installed one. While I mainly want one bc if aesthetic reasons, I prefer it to be oem. However the cost of finding one along with the mount etc is going to be cost prohibitive. So I’ve been looking at the rennline solution, which would be a superior product. The good thing is the previous owner did leave the bolts in the lwbs. Any recommendation on the type of extinguisher to buy? Not sure of what size to buy. Any ideas and pics of your set up would be great!
Seat brackets change a lot in little ways. I went through 3 factory brackets before I found the right one for a '19 GT3RS and like most Porsche parts are stupid expensive and remember unless the VIN indicates a factory install you cannot get the cylinder easily.
Wow, These look like a great option. I've never really thought that a fire extinguisher was a necessary tool for non-track cars. I'm curious as to how often a situation occurs that would require a fire extinguisher. Obviously an OEM mounted fire extinguisher looks pretty cool mounted under the front seat.
You have a fire extinguisher in your car for track days, not for cruising and looking cool, though if you want to be a 'poser, that's fine, too. Don't forget your leather driving gloves.
And here's a little known factoid unless you are a regular track driver. You don't really have it in your vehicle for a fire in your car, you have it so that when a fellow driver goes off track, catches fire, you can roll up behind him - get out and spray the car while he's trying to get out. The first two or three cars immediately behind our crashee can be out of the car in 10 seconds after the incident. Often a car that just crashed or is leaking fuel on a hot manifold or exhaust is upside down or on its side, so you are giving the driver some time to extricate himself or get things under control until the crash truck arrives. Just spraying the first licks of a fire is huge. The Corner Workers and Trucks will be there with the big fire extinguishers in a minute or so, but your little mini-squirt job buys some time. I have done this personally twice at the track, over many years of driving, helped a fellow driver out. They never even offered to buy me a new extinguisher, though!
You will almost never use it on your own car.

my take is if your car is on fire, get as far away as possible and let it burn. I’d rather take the payout than have a half burnt car I’m trying to put back together. But everyone seems to feel different on that.
video of the test and one my friend did of it mounted under his seat.

guess I’m a poser. Don’t own leather driving gloves though. Done plenty of track events too. Porsches are one of the most customizable vehicles out there. I assume you order yours with only necessary options. What if I think one of your options makes you a poser? Who’s right and who’s wrong. Maybe Porsche should hire u for product development. A lot of posers out there trying to ruin the brand.
Here's my Rennline bracket with a Purple K extinguisher. As for what I use it on, I hope nobody. But I drive lots of remote roads in dry country, and I would much rather have a chance to put out a small fire than have nothing to try.

Why take offense? If you want to run a fire extinguisher in your street car, go ahead. The truth of it though is they are a projectile waiting to come loose and the very best place to mount them is in the trunk. But they're not very showy in the trunk now, are they?
Didn’t take offense. Just don’t appreciate smart a$$ answers when asking for advice. I fully disclosed that I was looking for mostly aesthetic reasons. But whatever.
