thanks. It is the same black stripe gt part. Exclusive option then wraps it in leather. They can customize it however you want, do as much or as little as you want. Could do just the stripes - or a whole lot more. For me, I wanted to get rid of all the plastic on the center tunnel, especially the silver. The trim around the shifter, around the buttons, and the ashtray are all leather. The pdk shifter is leather (can add color or stitching several different ways). I even replaced the carbon fiber trim around the whole thing with the oem leather part. I’m in the minority in that I don’t like interior carbon fiber.

Never paid attention to it but I'm glad that Porsche "fixed" this in the 991.2.
It took me several hours to get used to push to shift up and pull to shift down. Idiotic.
To those of you who had the shifter in hand for an upgrade: do you think the mechanism can be disassembled to keep the 991.1 trim with the right marking and use the newer shifter thingy with the stripes ?

991.1: - on lower, + on top
991.2: + on lower, - on top
(pull shifter down to up shift vs. push up to up shift)

Ah OK... I think this came up earlier and it went over my head. Wasn't paying enough attention. Thanks!!

Part 9P1858401FDRZ ??? So confused LOL!
Trying to figure out the part number for this piece below, with 911 nameplate. I thought it was 9P1858401FDRZ, but that does not seem to be the case. I ordered from Porsche and it came with a GT3 nameplate.
Is there a part number for it, or is it somehow a special part only Suncoast sells? Is the 911 part in photos here only "created" by buying the GT3 version and then swapping out the 911 version I have? On the forum people referenced 9P1858401FDRZ with the 911 nameplate model, but it seems that this part actually has the GT3 nameplate on it.

Just trying to figure this out as not sure why Porsche sent me 9P1858401FDRZ with a GT3 nameplate on it, but perhaps there is no 911 nameplated version available from them?

Also read that the striped piece is held on by 4 tabs and double sided tape and comes apart easily with a hair dryer. Do you need to reapply new double sided tape? Does it ruin the structure of the piece by tearing it apart at all?
