Thanks again and I will report back with pictures if it works out!!
I just bought a CPO 2017 991.2 GTS and asked for the PZero’s to be swapped out for Michelin PS4S and was totally stonewalled. Said they needed to replace with OEM and that was that.

Bump, anyone run into any problems with their early build car? Considering swapping my 2S for a 4S (lower mileage and more options, including 18ways and sport PASM) but it's a super early build (Feb 2016). My 2S had the water pump replaced before, so I'm well aware of that; good thing Porsche extended the warranty for that part. Private sale so unfortunately not a CPO.

If it's a CPO car and the water pump fails, they replace it, on on Porsche not you. No worries for 2 years, then you can get a Fidelity Warranty, $100 deductible, for another 3 years, more if you wish. The Fidelity Warranty will pay for itself....bufget about $80 a month for this coverage. If you sell the car, you can transfer the Fidelity Warranty, or het a pro-rated refund.

My 2017 water pump needed to be replaced...it was leaking, it didn't actually fail in a catastrophic sense. "While wou are in there", I had the serpantine belt and an idler pulley replaced. Also note, the folks whose water pumps haven't needed replacing and NOT on this thread. Another +, the replacement water pump, under your CPO warranty, comes with an extended warranty, so I have heard.

And in closing, if you don't snap that car up soon, it will be gone....I have had a 991.1 and now a 991.2, big difference in performance, monster torque from 1,750 to 5,000 RPM, at that point it falls off as expected.

Because of the number of water pump failures in model years 2017-18, Porsche warrants it for 10 years from the date of delivery when car was new, or 120,000 miles.

My pump done at 21,000 miles. Warranty covered it...if I had paid for it out of my pocket, it would have been about $1.500....not that horrendous,

If you like 1,750 RPM performance providing flat torque all the way to 5,000 RPM, drive your back roads in Sport Plus, it is incredible. I have PDK and the shifting, is so satisfying to me....the down shifts..love them too. Lucky for me, I have a GTS with 450 HP. The next treat that awaits me, while in Sport Plus, engaging the PSRP for 20 seconds of overboost.

2017 build date 1-17. Purchased new 6-17. rear struts under warranty. purchased 6 year platinum fidelity. 26000 miles. solid hard pulling car. The only problem is rear tire life and totally worth it. buy counter measures. hint v1g2

Have they fixed whatever was wrong with the water pumps, or are the replacements still going to fail for the same reason?
