2015 C2S Rear End Clunk
Test drove a 15 C2S Cab 16k miles a few weeks ago, and when pulling out of the lot the rear end make what I'd describe as a clunk. Best way I could describe it, it was like driving a vehicle with a locking rear diff, and the sound/feeling it makes when it slips. The vehicle was cold, and it was a pretty cold day (~39f). Salesman said it was normal, it's the torque vectoring. I wasn't able to get it to do it again for the rest of the drive ~20 minutes.
Question, is this "normal" for a PTV equipped vehicle? TIA

I had the same (or similar) sound with mine. Ended up being the sway bar bushing. I it happened going over very uneven pavement or bumps like the parking lot ones meant to slow traffic. See if you can get it to clunk again.

Thanks! Yea, it was really strange, you could feel it through the whole car. I've never driven a PTV car so wasn't sure if it was "normal". Do the rear diffs lock on these cars and maybe let go when 1st driven? That's kinda what it felt like. It definitely surprised me.

Good to know. The salesman (non-Porsche) made it seem like it was absolutely normal in a PTV car. Didn't seem all that normal to me.

This was literally like I'd driven over a curb. I honestly thought the rear end might have kicked out a little.

Umm....no. The PDK can be a bit clunky when cold but it doesn’t last long. I just did a PDK fluid and calibration and even the cold starts don’t yield clunks anymore.

No, I have a Macan, this wasn't a PDK clunk. it was felt thru the whole car. Like I mentioned, it was like a locked differential let loose. I just couldn't imagine this was "normal".
