Hello folks, looks like I found the correct forum (911 991). Recently purchased a 2015 911 GTS (7-speed manual), absolutely love it. Coming from an e39 m5 which I still have and plan to keep since it's my DD. Both offer different yet fun driving experiences. I'm in the Great Falls - Potomac - D.C. area, anyone else nearby? The 911 is pretty straight-forward, get in and drive and have fun, but I welcome any tips/tricks. TIA!

Welcome! Great looking car - NA and manual. I loved black cars but hated trying to keep them clean. I recommend joining the Porsche Club of America. I believe they have an active chapter in your area. Before considering any modifications, get out and enjoy your car first. If you plan to drive this winter, you should really look into winter (or at least all-season) tires.

Congrats!!! Looks fantastic!

Quite a few Porsche owners in the DC area - very robust PCA region here, too.

what an awesome find. these things are getting harder and harder to find..hang on to it and you will drive it for a nominal charge if you want to sell in a couple of years..

Amazing car, and I will pile on to suggesting you check out the local PCA; pretty sure you'd be in the Potomac chapter. They are a very active group.

Hopefully you enjoyed the weather today, and again tomorrow! It very well could be the last time we see near-60s again for a few months...

Very nice! I think you have the proper technique (get in, drive, fun). Only suggestion is do more.

Congrats, love the GTS. Wish I could have found a gts for a reasonable price but it just wasn’t meant to be. I’m in a GR C2S and I’m all over the place. Vienna on hunter mill so not far at all from great falls, maybe 5-7 min.
