Really? I couldn't even get my local dealer to let me test drive a Cayman S for more than 15 minutes. I gotta get a better Porsche dealer here haha

I would walk away.
+1000%, deal breaker no PPI

Here is the car in question: https://www.universitymitsubishi.com...ca2a96cs140310
Its a local Mitsu dealership. They said anyone could come an inspect the car, but no off-site inspections. Most dealers won't because of insurance issues. One small dealer would only allow a flatbed delivery of their car to be inspected.
They do not have a 3-7 day return policy.
I have a thing for yellow 911s, but do not want to make a costly mistake.
I have the Carly Porsche app and a Foxwell NT 520 so I can read codes, I have an infrared thermometer to check a/c. I can get a paint meter as well.

Strike 1: Mitsubishi Dealer - for some reason, especially in FLA, they seem to have somewhat shady used cars. Most of them have accident or repaint issues.
Strike 2: Yellow - yellow cars are cool but get hit on resale or they take a long time to find a buyer
Strike 3: Price - this car just isn't cheap enough to be a good deal (IMO).

Sent this to the sales manager: "After thinking this over, the only way I could do this is if I can either (1) get a ppi before purchasing at my expense at Foreign Affairs in Pompano, or (ii) you give me a 5 day return window (I will get car inspected afterwards). In either case, I will give you a copy of the report. If this doesn't work for the dealership then we part friends."

The car is 100 miles round trip so I do not want to waste the drive as well.

Just heard back, no dice on off site inspection or return policy.

Great spec although those wheels are way too nice to have been painted black!

I would pass on this car... The interior looks trashed to me. The leather is in really rough shape and there is excessive wear everywhere from the pics. I think it will be worse in person.

Fair price, but you have to be comfortable with your inspection of the car.

General manager just called, they have agreed to have the car inspected at West Broward Porsche. I will drive and inspect and then if we make a deal I will pay for the inspection.

They have agreed to a ppi at Davie Motorsports. https://www.daviemotors.com Great online reviews. Plan is to see car tomorrow and see if its the one, then have inspected on Monday.

That is the most thrashed interior I have seen. Look at the leather dash...all warped...along with the seats. Looks like it got soaked with heavy rain when the top was down to cause this damage. And with all the scratches...did they haul lumber in the back? I would not waste time on this car.

What the heck happened to it?

The dash is trashed and your probably looking at north of 5-7K for a replacement.

Was it flooded?

To only have 37,000 miles and to look that bad.

I'd skip.

I agree with others. Lots of red flags to begin with, and couple that with the shocking amount of wear and tear on the inside. I'd pass for sure...

So I went and looked at the car today. Outside was very clean and car drove and stopped as expected. So I wrote the dealership this: "The car was in pretty rough shape. Seat belts were dirty, headlights had interior moisture, leather in rear seats was stiff and stained (looks like water from top being left open, the front seat back shells are thoroughly scratched, the left rear window acted wonky, the top moaned when opening (needs to be lubricated presumably), the car said it had an oil overfill ad the start/stop system was broken, plus the air bag light was on. I ran a code diagnosis and many systems showed faults. I would only be willing to buy under two conditions, first all mechanical/electrical issues are reviewed and repaired by a Porsche dealer, and the price is reduced to $55k as I will likely need to spend at least $5k for interior cosmetics."
