Thanks-I am going to tap for the nozzle in the y pipe below the factory boost sensor. I will also tap around the same area for the boost pressure sensor (they both use 1/8 npt ports).

Did some more soldering and heatshrinking last night. I could have hooked up without a quick disconnect harness but I wanted to be able to unplug it if needed. Bought the 8 pin duetch harness on Amazon for $23 and wrapped in oem fabric tape.

Soldered using solder and then securing with heat shrink solder over the solder joint

You will probably be at a 50% rwhp increase — very impressive. In the range of stock turbo performance.

WOW you are alot more optimistic than me! I honestly dont think it will give much more (if any) peak power, but I do think it will make a big difference in terms of reducing heatsoak and keeping the power up there on repeated runs or in the summer/hotter months.

You’ll definitely see gains .... as I stated before my power is shy of 500whp (same as you)

when I retune with the meth, we are gonna push it over 500!!! No doubt

Gonna hope for the best-I think my current base turbo's are pretty much maxed out but we will see!

Maybe 50% is optimistic if you are near the limits of the stock turbos. You are at 30% now and if the meth allows timing you be restored that is now being pulled or lets you run another 2-3 psi if the turbos can handle that, you could be at 40%. 50% might take more than the turbos can flow. You can change them next....

I will be looking for a car over the next year or 2 or 3. Currently, I would be leaning towards a 991.1 Turbo but what you are doing with the regular model 991.2 is impressive and I suppose an S would do more. I’ll have to weigh the car and mod costs when the time comes. I run meth on a 99 BMW M3 with aftermarket turbo system and an 08 M3 that is naturally aspirated so it is likely to find its way onto my next car.

@polobai awesome project and great documentation.

Probably a little late, but in case you need more room or want to move stuff around, just thought of this, you can remove the air inflator storage box and use that space for whatever.

Yep, thought of that as well but there is not too much room there as its not as deep (the tank has a hump under that air inflator box).

I get what you are saying now-you are talking 50% power over the stock output-in that case you are correct. I do expect to be able to make that happen with a couple more PSI of boost if the turbo can push it-which would be roughly around 20 more whp (486whp or so). My plan was to do headers then the turbos, but based on @Arin@APR performance on his stock headers, I may just keep mine and put that money towards a set of Tial upgraded snails in the future. I think the 991.2's are some of the best bang for the buck vehicles in the Porsche lineup right now-many are making more power than similarly equipped 991.1 turbos! Hard to believe with .8 liters less displacement but its happening!

Also love that you are pushing the m3s to the limit. I have a supercharged e30 m3 (s14) that I am working the bugs out of. I may end up going with meth on that one as well.

Any thoughts on using water instead of methanol? Water doesn't mess with air-fuel ratio and still delivers most of the cooling effect.
