Keep up the good work! I know you said that you'll wait and see how the current tank handles the meth, but in the scenario that glue does melt and its atomized or degraded to the point it cant be filtered I would hate to have it go thru the system. And potentially have a catastrophic failure. Especially since you have the smaller and cleaner tank, its just some more of your time to get that one installed.
And I am not trying to scare you cause you might be fine and the current tank holds up but for like $100-200? of insurance, why not, you know?

True-all very good points. The reason I am doing it this way is to actually test if it will degrade and how quickly (this is one of the answers I could not definitively find when I was researching). Hopefully it will help the next guy out. I plan to check the filter and tank very regularly to see how its holding up-as soon as I see signs of degradation, its coming out and being replaced with the one I have on hand.

If it were me, I'd make the change. That way, you don't have to check or worry about the degradation. Also, why take the chance since you already have the new tank. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the input-its more of a curiosity thing and to educate myself and others if the JB Weld/E600 would hold up as its widely debated everywhere but no one has any real world testing. Curiosity did kill the cat, but its not going to kill my motor-I will make sure of that.

Plan to dyno within the next few months. Probably sometime in January/Feb. I am going to pull some logs with the meth on vs without and send to my protuner to see what they suggest and can fine tune. Also thinking about trying the Cobb 110 octane OTS map they have but not sure on that yet. Not going for much more power if any (but would be nice). More to prevent heat soak in the hotter months (I live in South Florida) and keep the iats down. My thought is the lower the iats, the less power the car will lose.

Would love to do e85 eventually...but gonna wait on it for now until a flex fuel solution comes out. Sometimes my car sits for a week or two...afraid of the e85 sitting and getting stale.

I am, probably in the winter/cooler months if there will be one. For sure a trip to the 1/4 mile dragstrip (want to see what MPH it makes) and then possibly a track day/session to get my feet wet.
