Default 991.2 Grille Badge

Does anyone out there have experience installing a Grille Badge on the 991.2? The grille has three openings: 2x for cooling fans and 1x for the air intake. Where can you mount this without impeding those...does it matter for the cooling fans?

Had to google what you meant by 'grille badge' and, while I had to say duh to myself, I also stumbled across this:

The is a member that bent some sheet metal and attached to the latch bolts. Kind of u shape deal. Seemed to work out ok. Hopefully, he/she will chime in.

Edit: said member must have been typing at the same time. After pressing save, suddenly like magic, the photo thst I remembered was there.

I’m guessing by your question that you live outside of the US?

I have an 87 blue on blue to go with my 17 and doing the same mods I did on my 87. So for me, I like the grill badge. No increased temps and to each their own on what they like, that is what makes the world interesting.

^^ nice, looks great.

as fate would have it, I was reading Panorama today and as fate would have it on page 18 there is an article “Grille Power” which claims there are companies that make brackets for all model ranges...now I just have to find that company.

That was me. My original thread has a template and instructions for DIY. My original is still going strong.

Hi James,

Were you able to install that without damaging the car? Do you have anything protecting the fins on the grill? I cannot find a bracket for this anywhere for my 991.2. I see the other one in this thread but I don't want to mount it there. I have the same PCA badge.

Quick Reply: 991.2 Grille Badge
