Love this-my journey summed up:

650whp Supra and guard rail collided-wife made me sell instead of fix (admittedly wasn’t practical as it was setup for drag racing. Was set on replacing with a early 2000s Nsx or 993 but missed the market big time.

Wife suggested a new 911 but I initially declined as I thought they didn’t offer a manual-however we visited a dealer and they had a used 7 speed in stock! Wanted one now but REALLY wanted a carerra T but didn’t want to buy new. Kept searching and almost pulled the trigger on a 993 turbo…but wife didn’t want me to get another 20+ year old project (I already have an e30 m3).

Kept on the hunt to scratch my itch waiting for a cpo carerra t and came across a 981 gt4 at a local Mercedes dealer. Test drove, fell in love with the sound and ended up making a deal. Great car but with only two seats and a one year old it didn’t get used much. Modded it, had fun and kept the 911t in the back of my head.

11 months later, our second child is almost here…and it hit me that i need to get something with 4 seats-thankfully the cpo market for the 911t is starting to have a few pop up. Traded my gt4 for my current T and the rest is history. Do I miss the other cars? Yes, in certain aspects-but the 911t is my favorite of them all.

My first car and first love

She was a beast

Replaced by this

Was stunning

Replaced by my current 911t

911t

Favorite so far (I’m a turbo guy at heart)

I bought 3 cars in my entire life.

1st one was a 1995 Honda Civic when I was a student. I still have it to this day and it's my daily driver.

I never bought a newer or better car than the Civic after I start working because I wanted to save until I could pay for a 993 since the Civic did not cost that much to maintain.
I saw many friends buy AMGs, M cars, Audi RS, Boxsters etc. which was kind of frustrating.
But I knew deep down it was a 993 or nothing.

After 10 years+, I eventually pulled the trigger on a 1995 C2 coupe manual last year :

I am happy I waited for many years to buy the 993 because my taste for 993s changed (improved?) over the years.
Many years ago, I preferred the 993 Targa to the 993 coupe because the 993 Targa looked very modern to me (no rain gutter, frameless doors, pano roof).
But when Porsche reintroduced the original Targa rollover bar on the 991, I fell out of love for the 993 Targa. To me, the 993 coupe became the most beautiful body style of the 993.

And now adding a 991.1 Targa 4 GTS 7MT (to scratch my itch for a Targa) :

Current ride is the 991.2 C4S. The rest are a few I’ve had in the last 2-3 years. Have always loved cars, appreciate all brands for different reasons from heritage to performance. Have a hard time owning one for more than 6 months before I get something different. Porsche seems to be heavily in rotation and the 911 is by far my favorite (this month lol).

991.2 C4S

2021 RS6

2021 Taycan 4s

2019 Panamera 4s

21 Jaguar F-Type R (Brilliant car minus the infotainment)

2020 F-Pace R

2016 Macan s

Need I say more?

My 1st Porsche was a 2017 718 Boxster S

With 1/4 red interior (rare to have to color combo)

I traded it for 2018 Carrera S Cabriolet

With 1/2 red interior
