911 ownership Journey so far - Love to see yours...

@jfischet wow... The 911 SC Targa is among my all time fav 911's.
Actually, my very first 911 experience was in a 911 SC (a white coupé) and it was there and then I knew what my striving car future would be. Took me a while to start the 911 ownership journey, but I did it and could not be happier tbh...

My journey just began a year and a half ago with my '07 C2S. I love the car and have it completely sorted out. With that said, let's just say there is a reason I've been lurking on the 991 forum lately
I thought I recognized this backdrop in my backyard, then I realized, I've gone for drives and tried (and failed) to keep up with @pfbz in his Turbo's! LOL. Hopefully we'll be back at it this Spring!

I've always been a massive BMW M fan and I have a few in the garage today, but 911 was always the next step on my AUTObiography
So, in 2017, I got by first 911, a 997 GTS which was a great car and got me hooked on the 911 for life.
As great as the GTS was, it was a little to "well behaved" for my liking so replaced her with a 997 Launch Edition Manual. That one was more like it
As of last summer 997 has been replaced with the current 911 which is 991.1 GTS. I think I found my keeper 911 with stunning looks, comfort and performance. Many mods planned for this one, DSC, FI-R's, Akra, Etc.
My Garage, Driven34,
My first 911, 997 GTS,
Second 911, 997 Launch Edition,
and the current 911, 991.1 GTS,

Great thread and perfectly apropos for me at this moment. I have been on the prowl for a few months now trying to find the "right" 991 for me. My search has already cost me about $2,000 flying around to look at various cars and shipping some to town for me to view. I appreciate the input on this thread as it has solidified my decision to become a 'convert'!

First 911 was a 997.2 4S it was also the first car I took to DE
2015 I got a 991.1 S -Wanted something a little faster and modern
2019 - 991.2 S - My favorite so far.... (most likely my last for awhile as I have a baby on the way).

Only 2 911's thus far, but other fun cars include a 987.1 Boxster, Audi RS4 (B7), BMW X6M (F86), BMW M3 (F80 ZCP).
Figured I'd give PDK a try with the 991.1 but I eventually found the dual clutch boring.
So the 991.2 is a manual.

I’m also on step 1. After years of staring wishfully from a distance, I finally decided it was time to own a real car last year, and the modding bug that has infected me with other cars took root almost right away.
