My dearly departed Macan's & our current & former 991s' sensors were/are triggered by Ford vehicles with the park/traffic sensors. It's can be annoying, but it's not hard to turn off the sensor button.

Oh man, if you're telling me I can get some jellybean Ford parts, amplify the hell out of them, and mess with people in 911s...

Dude, you'd do that to your own peeps? That's harsh!

UPDATE: The sensors have freaked out 3 or 4 times since my original post. I won't say I'm happy that it happened, but I am pleased to say that each time it was, in fact, a Ford in front of me.
It's not a definitive answer, but it does look like the group census here on the forum may be on to something.

Very strange... but, at least it seems to conform to a pattern.
Nothing to worry about. Disregard and carry on, I guess.

Thanks to the team for their input.

I had this happen on my 2013 GTS once, even the exclamation point. I think there was a mouse in that area of mine which set it off. I never bothered to investigate further, I just gassed the garage a few times.

The only thing you can really do is clean the areas on the body where the sensors are at.

This has happened to me a few times. The dealership says that "this is normal" and the car is "over engineered". I would say the opposite to both statements. Good news is that looking at the video I caught of my car doing this, it was a newer Ford Explorer in front of me.

I wouldn't know because the first thing I do after starting the car is to disable the sensors. I don't need sensors to tell me where the edges of my 911 are, especially backing out my own garage.

How @BlueNorther do you do that? Anyway, the sensors might alarm one to a child or a pet behind the car (maybe not in your driveway if you don’t have any), somewhere else or even one your neighbors in your driveway.

The button next to the homelink garage door opener (which I hit at same time), aft of the rear view mirror. I have the back up camera and rear window for critters, but I'm out in the country, so not much of a worry. The parking sensor was even triggered by the mailbox at the bottom of the driveway. More of a nuisance than a help.
