Got my car back and they replaced the valve block which contained six vital COV’s, vacuum line to it, vacuum pump and the water pump of course. The tech was kind enough to go over what happened.
There is a diaphragm inside the pump that shifts the impeller sleeve back and forth and controls the water flow. Apparently it leaked through that sleeve and went through the vacuum port from the pump and into the valve block. He stated that they made about 2-3 revisions on the pump.
The valve block was drenched with coolant along with the vacuum pump as you can see below.
In case you’re curious: my air filter at 26K miles. Was too bad but had them swap it with BMC.
