Agreed. I'd sooner spend the $1k on the Numeric shifter and cables. SO worth it!

I'm so happy the guy that spec'd my car actually got the CF shift ****.

These function first ***** look great. Hard part is choosing what color pattern to pick. Any recommendation for black GTS with Alcantara interior?

What color is your trim? Regardless, there is White lettering in the area so you cannot go wrong with it.

911., could you please give any advice on how to take apart the shift **** without breaking anything? Specifically I've read from another rennlist post that it's difficult to remove the center plate with the shift pattern on it without breaking tabs. From studying pics, it looks like it would be a motion of pushing up vertically while also pushing the top of the plate away from the ****. But I'm just guessing. Any advice? Or pics?

Once you have the **** out and separated from the boot, you will see the release tab, gently fry the tab and push just slightly from under that to get it to move a MM or two. Once you do that, you can use a pry tool and wedge on each side of the top of the plastic trim by the 'R' and the '7'. Keep it flat and gently twist. The prongs that you are thinking might break are right in the furthest upright spot under the trim. Once you can grip the trim with your finger use your other hang/thumb to guide by pushing into the **** assembly while also sliding up on the base of the trim by where the release tab is. Go slowly and youll be fine. What I read is that most people break them on reinstall. Once you have it out you will see how it should go back in so take your time to reinstall.

Suncoast has a smoking deal on a Genuine Porsche Carbon Fiber 7-Speed Shift ****: MSRP $1,125.00 on sale for $495.00.

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/npncf7spknob.html

Per my conversation with Suncoast, they said, "Yes, the item is a genuine Porsche part, 991424075138YR. On sale until supplies last."

I just picked one up. I like more Function First **** a lot but interested to try this piece and see how I like it.
