If there is a car that checks (all) the boxes and the price is a reasonable or good one right now, I would get it knowing it’s the right decision now and enjoy it.
I agree. 100%.

The COVID isn't all that predictable at this point.

I just bought a 2019 C4S list $145,000, bought it for $130,000, with 90 miles on it, and dealer threw in CPO, so I have a warrantee for 6 years, unlimited mileage. I too agree with BSO on 992. I used to have one, thus my user name. 991.2 is classic styling and great performance, 992 has greater performance. Interior of 991 uses much better materials than 992 and the door handles; inside and out; way much better in 991. I also like the 7 speed idk over the 8 speed 992 idk, for my driving use case. good luck

It's funny - they were asking 20% off on the cars they had in stock when the Hubby first saw their site. They had a Carmine Red Targa that sold soon thereafter, & we kept checking in to drool over the other, remaining Targa. Clicked on their site again a couple of days later & they'd dropped the price down another 5%, so we jumped.
WOW! That's some great deal..... 25% off MSRP!

We ordered our 2019 Targa 4GTS back in August of 2019. It was one of the last 991.2 to come off the production line with a October build date. The best we could negotiate was a 6% discount.

Great shopping!!!

Thanks. Pure dumb luck & timing, for once. We weren't even in the market & had no plans to get rid of our 2017 GTS. The Hubby knows my dream car is the Targa, & when he saw it at the 20% off, he asked me if I was interested. I couldn't justify spending an extra $X to replace our 2017 car that we were happy with, but when the price dropped again, it was hard to say no. We sold the 2017 & paid less for the new 2019 Targa 4 GTS than we did for a GTS 2 when we bought it new in 2018. That's nuts! This is it, though. I'm lucky to have my dream 911, Hubby has his new 993 to play with, & we've got a 997-1 Turbo, so we're good.

A joyful story all around I’ve already put another 3500 miles on the GTS 2. Wonderful car. I choose it over the RS now more than I like to admit, haha.

I think covid is very predictible, its people who aren't. I have rural family that think it's a just a politicized bad flu.

I tend to agree, I like the 991.2 for the same reasons. I'm not a big fan of the backside of the 992. It's looks like a sci-fi characters helmet. I work in the tech industry and spend my days staring at LCD screen so when I saw the proliferation of screens in the 992, that turned me off. I really appreciate analog gauges and a manual transmission.

Glad you're enjoying it! I do have to say I do miss it. Love that Night Blue Metallic!
