Is the Sport Chrono Illuminated?

Is the Sport Chrono Illuminated?
Dumb question. Took my 991.1 C2S out for a little night drive, and noticed that the sport chrono dial isn't illuminated. The LED numbers are, but not the dial itself. I can't for the life of me remember if the dial lights up when you turn the lights on or not!

Oh my god, if it's that simple I will turn in my PCA resignation with huge embarrassment. Thanks, I'll give it a try. The main gauge lights were plenty bright so I didn't even think to try and turn things up more.

I checked and couldn't find that on my car. I did however turn up the brightness to max, and I did see the outer ring of the sport chrono begin to glow. It does light up, but it is very faint. Thanks for all the suggestions.

That's okay, for the first few weeks I thought cabin lights were optional equipment and I was thinking how did I miss it. Turns out the ONLY way to turn on the interior lights (so they're automatic with the door) is via the steering column stalk under Settings. You cannot do it from the main headunit screen.

My Sport Chono dial has no backlighting at all.
I did find, in the Porsche PIWIS coding options Excel spreadsheet posted elsewhere on this site, a number of settings for Stopphur (Stopwatch in English). One option, Anzeige Beleuchtung aus (Display lighting), was set to No. I used my Autel MP808 to change it to Yes and bingo, the dial lit up, although very dimly. It brightens with the other dials but is still relatively dim.
There are four other settings that I believe control the brightness of the illumination. They are Lv_nachtmax (LV_nightmax), E_Tagmax (E_Daymax), PWM_MaxD and PWM_MaxS. The four options are set to 28, 50, 255 and 16 respectively. Tomorrow I am going to try playing with Lv_nachtmax to see if I can get the dial to light as brightly as the other gauges. I plan to first try 50, the setting for E_Tagmax. I'll report back my findings.

Sport chrono
With PIWIS coding sport chrono can be turned on to full brightness. I dont remember which option but it was one of the numerical values.
When I return home in a few weeks i can look up which coding line I changed.

Screen shot
This is the screen shot of the sport chrono option menu that I saved last year and if I remember correctly it was PMW_MaxD changed to 255 that turned on the backlight to full brightness but still adjustable with dim switch on the instrument panel.
Edit: After re-reading Mhconley's post, i think my screenshot was before modifying and i can't remember which value I changed. I will have to look at my current numbers using my piwis 3. I do remember the change was from two digit number to a three digit. I will update when I return home in a few weeks.

I've found it annoying that the sport chrono clock was backlit with less intensity than the other instrument gauges. Makes it appear to be a non OEM aftermarket part. Same way on the Macan I had several years ago. I can't figure out Porsche's rationale behind instrument illumination (like the tach and analog gauges that have no backlighting during daytime. I wonder if there is a way to code the tach & gauges to illuminate during the day?)

I set PWM_MaxS to 255 and this is the result:
The Sport Chrono dial is lit as brightly as the other gauges and it dims with the dash lights. Exactly what I wanted.
Thanks for the hint Jae.
