20k service on a 2019 911
My 2019 911 is quickly approaching its 2 year anniversary, nearly 17000 trouble free miles and just scheduled its 20,000 service from selling dealer, quoted $1100 (oil change and brake fluid flush), does this sound a bit high or is it just me?

Local dealer quoted $1470 for the two year service on my T. Headed to an Indy.

Less than 6 cents per mile. Where else are you going to find this quality of fun & entertainment for less.
Tell your dealership you only want an oil change and brake fluid change. Should be less than $650. Then do the 2 cabin filters yourself.

Even I did both cabin filters myself (early before Treffen). And I'm lacking in any mechanical ability. You do have to contort a bit to get to the one in the passenger compartment, but it wasn't horrible.
I'm going to try the next oil change as well. $300 "on sale" just isn't worth it plus my half day of driving 90 miles one way and waiting.

$1100.00 for the 2 year Service (Oil/Filter, Cabin Air (2 filters), and Brake Fluid Flush) is too high. Shop around if you are not a DIY person, or if you are a PCA member, ask for help from other members.
Save your dollars for when you need your spark plugs changed, as I understand that is a chore on the 991.2 due to the turbos......

Agree - I just bought both filters for about $50 from FCP Euro for about $50 shipped.

Called another dealer, they quoted me $700 w/o filters therefore, they will do my 20k service. Ordered the filter set on Suncoast for $65 and will install myself. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Jack F,
There are lots of how-to videos on YouTube. It’s pretty similar regardless of the car. I’ve done lots of service myself but had never done a brake flush. I just did one on my 991.2 a few weeks ago. Pretty easy. Watch the videos below, first one is for a 997 but the 991 was pretty much the same. He lists the tools and fluid required with links to Amazon (though you can buy elsewhere if you prefer). Even if you don’t have any of the tools, I’m sure you could buy everything for this and an oil change including a jack and torque wrench for way less than $1,100! Basically you are just pressurizing the master cylinder and then letting fluid run out from each caliper until the old fluid is replaced with the new fluid. Just make sure not to get the brake fluid on the paint, it will cause serious damage if not wiped off immediately (this sounds scary but is pretty easy to avoid since the calipers aren’t near the painted surfaces).
